Turkey Run State Park

Indiana Dunes National Park

Indiana Dunes National Park is an awesome mix of sandy beaches, forest trails, and wildflower-filled prairies, all right along the south shore of Lake Michigan. With over 50 miles of trails, huge dunes to climb, and tons of different landscapes to explore, it’s a great spot for a chill beach day, a hike through nature, or a little bit of both.

West Beach offers a great combination of hiking and relaxing at the beach. The trails are varied and encompass many habitats. This loop hike combines sections of the three trails at West Beach: the Dune Succession Trail, the West Beach Trail, and the Long Lake Loop Trail.
